“As of January 1, there are 85,203 veterans living in Kazakhstan, including 120 veterans of the Great Patriotic War, 16,983 veterans equated in benefits to veterans of the Great Patriotic War, 26,506 veterans of combat operations on the territory of other states, 41,594 home front workers during the years of the Great Patriotic War,” the report said.
In 2024, the specified categories of veterans were paid special state allowance in the amount of 16.7 billion tenge. In 2025, 17 billion tenge is provided for these purposes.
Monthly special state allowance from the republican budget is paid to all categories of veterans, regardless of receiving other social payments, in the following amounts:

veterans of World War II - 16 MRP (in 2025 - 62,912 tenge);

veterans equated in benefits to veterans of the Great Patriotic War, of which:

persons equated in benefits to persons with disabilities due to wounding, contusion, mutilation or disease received during WWII - 7.55 MRP (in 2025 - 27,875 tenge);

persons equated in terms of benefits to the participants of the Great Patriotic War - 6.19 MRP (in 2025 - 24,339 tenge).

veterans of combat operations in the territory of other states, of which:

participants of combat operations in Afghanistan - 6.19 MRP (in 2025 - 24,339 tenge);

servicemen who performed tasks to strengthen the protection of the CIS border in the Tajik-Afghan section, participated in the international peacekeeping operation in Iraq, in the settlement of the inter-ethnic conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh - 4.8 MRP (in 2025 - 18,874 tenge);
-
home front workers during the World War II - 2.13 MRP (in 2025 - 8,376 tenge).
