“These are servicemen who served during the Great Patriotic War, persons who took part in hostilities against Nazi Germany, citizens who worked during the blockade in Leningrad, minor prisoners of concentration camps, as well as servicemen who became disabled as a result of injury or disaster at radiation facilities,” the report says.
Veterans of combat operations in the territory of other countries, except for veterans of combat operations in Afghanistan, will also receive 45 MRP each. This applies to servicemen who performed tasks on the Tajik-Afghan section of the border, in the international peacekeeping operation in Iraq, as well as in the settlement of the inter-ethnic conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh.
“Other persons covered by the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan ‘On Veterans’ (home front workers, families of deceased servicemen, spouse of a deceased disabled veteran of the Great Patriotic War) - in the amount of 15 MRP (58,980 tenge),” the akimat said.
