More than 4,000 servicemen will take part in the parade. Today, they are stationed at a military field camp near Astana. The camp itself consists of 288 tents, which are mini tents.
The camp is where military personnel will reside immediately prior to the holiday march. The tents are equipped with heating systems and bunks are placed here.
Field kitchens are set up in separate tents.
And in such household rooms, servicemen tidy themselves, wash and iron things !
“In April, we began full joint training on the grounds of this military unit. The training consists of three phases. The first phase will be separate and joint training. In the industrial town there will be comprehensive training together with the mechanized column. At the third stage, a general training session will be held on the main square of our capital,” Kuchekbayev said.
Journalists witnessed one such training session. Soldiers from different units, including elite ones, marched in formation to the sound of a solemn march.
Among them were servicemen of the National Guard of the Interior Ministry.
“When we were informed about the parade last December, I was among the volunteers. We practiced hard all these three months. Before getting here, we were trained in garrisons. I naturally miss my children, I still have a little daughter, she is four years old,” the servicewoman said.
